So you’re with a gamer? Stays up all hours gaming? Or to run to the local store at midnight to get the game as soon as it’s out? Friends always over gamin or he’s over at their house because they have the newest game? Controllers & games all over? His cute gift idea will depend on what he likes , what he already has & what your budget is. Also when possible you can factor in your likes. For example do you like to exercise? Then the Wii would be something you could use also. If you prefer to watch movies or listen to music, the XBox or Playstation have both saved us(my son’s-Bryan & me) alot of hard ache. I could listen to music that he downloaded on the game while he played! Then when he wasn’t around I could watch my movies. However, if you(unlike me)are also a gamer than you probably already have your preference. Anyways I was getting to cute boyfriend gift ideas for your gamer:
1. Game Console- If you have the $ for & if he doesn’t already have one or even if he has console but it’s an older version, a gaming console would be ideal! He’ll never forget it. Also even, if he has a gaming system, some gamers prefer to have multiple systems. If you don’t have the $ for one of those, he may like one of the portal gaming systems like Nintendo DS or Playstation Portal. If he travels or if he has other down time away from home, he could play on the go. Again the system should depend on what he likes! Some folks prefer one over the other while others like all of them. The XBox 360 TM Elite Gaming Console has a 120 GB Hard Drive while the Playstation 3 has 250 GB(PS2 is available with 120 GB Hard Drive) so it will just depending on how much storage he wants & your budget(along with want system he prefers). Also to help your budget you can always check into used gaming consoles.
2. Games-This is of course if he already has a gaming console. Please double check that you are getting the game for the correct system. I remember how happy my son was to get the newest version of his favorite game on Christmas morning. Then the disappoint when he figured out Santa how brought him the portal version of the game. Bad Santa! Not being a gamer herself, Santa didn’t even realize back then that there were different versions. So please double & triple check his system & then double & triple check the game when purchasing it! If he’s like most men, if he doesn’t tell your straight out just listening to him( especially when he’s gaming with his friends) will tell you the game he would love to have. If your still not sure after eaves dropping, a gift certificate would do nicely! It will show your are support of his gaming & want him to use his gift. But most gamers are pretty vocal about what they want.
3. Controllers, Again this will depend on the system & games that he plays. You definitely won’t get that “WOW” effect with a controller that’s not compatible with his system. My preference is a wireless controller when possible. Wires drive me crazy! With different gaming systems their are different options available. Many are regular controllers, others are wheels(for driving), tennis rackets etc. There are controllers for almost any price range. Again you can always check into used controllers to save money.
4. Memory Cards & other accessories-which there are many & you would need to do some more eaves dropping to figure out what he could use. But gamers love their accessories.
5. Gift Cards to places he where he could pick his out gaming desire.
6. Storage Units, preferably one that matches the decor of where the gaming takes place. Look around. It doesn’t need to be made for the purpose of organizing gaming systems. There are many items that can be used to organize his gaming needs while not being an eyesore. I prefer something that closes(hides all his gaming supplies).
